Skin boosters, also known as Beauty Boosters, are an excellent way to plump the skin, smooth out wrinkles, promote collagen production, and enhance your skin’s glow. If you’re worried about crepiness, fine lines, and a lack of hydration, this is the treatment for you! We utilise high-quality, specialised hyaluronic acid fillers that are injected directly into your skin to promote long-lasting effects. 3 treatments are recommended, 3 weeks apart, with results lasting up to 9 months. Procedure

A topical anaesthetic is applied before the procedure. The Skin Boosters are then injected, using our V2 Injector, which utilises fine microneedles and a precise volume directly into the dermal layer of the skin. Here the boosters exert their volumizing effect, with noticeable improvement seen by about day 10.

Possible side effects

After the procedure you’ll notice tiny bumps under the skin where the skin boosters have been deposited. These begin to smooth almost immediately, are generally not noticeable by the following day, and are gone within 2-3 days.

It is possible to have minor pin-point bruising around the eyes or mouth. This is much less with the V2 injector than with hand-injecting and generally resolves within 5-7 days.

With any treatment that involves needles around the mouth, there is a risk of reactivating cold sores. If you are prone to cold sores, consider taking antiviral medication (e.g. famciclovir) avoid a recurrence.

Aftercare

After your treatment you will need to avoid:

• Make-up for the remainder of the day
• Vigorous exercise or excessive sweating for 24 hours
• Direct sun-exposure for 2 weeks
• Scrubs, exfoliants and ‘active’ skin care products (e.g. retinol) for 3-5 days
